Hi, everybody who wants an update on Jeff.
Jeff got out of the hospital on Wednesday the 8th, and he's been recovering at home on oral antibiotics ever since. His leg looks much better. Still a few red patches, but continuous recession, which is good.
He had a leg follow-up appointment on Tuesday the 14th, in which it was determined that he needed another week's worth of oral antibiotics. He has another follow-up appointment on June 28.
He had a liver follow-up appointment on Wednesday the 15th, in which it was determined that more bloodwork needed to be drawn to rule out various liver maladies, but nothing dangerous or life-threatening is going on at the moment. He was told to lose 10% of his body weight and come back in six months.
Jeff is gaining strength every day and has resumed normal activity (baseball games, running sound at church, etc). He goes back to work next Monday. Also, he's super cool and fun to be around. Also, he makes great campfires, mows the lawn like nobody's business, excels at engaging in pretend play with his children, and has read I don't know how many books (five?) in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
We've reached a maintenance phase, so this will be my final update. I love you all and I can't tell you how much we appreciate your love and support. Blessings on you.
