I have a simple message this week. An encouragement. A straightforward truth.
This particular truth is very often squelched by overwhelming lies that keep most of us bearded women in some form of captivity.
But this truth breaks us out of our prisons and spurs us on -- giving us incentive to do things that free people do. Things like engage in our chosen hair removal process consistently. And leave the house. And smile without a hint of self-consciousness.
The truth is this:
Your beard is not as noticeable as you think it is.
And when people look at you, they don't see a "bearded lady".
They see you.
