The Hand Hold
The question over at Something Good this week was:
How do you and your husband compromise to make your marriage work?
Jeff and I can't hold hands like a regular couple. I have extra large hands for a girl, and Jeff's hands are quite beefy and manly. For some reason, a regular hand clasp just doesn't fit properly. Our bones get in the way. And we can't intertwine our fingers, because they turn blue for lack of proper circulation. So early on in our marriage, we devised a way to hold hands that worked for both of us. Last week, on a date, I realized we'd been holding hands in our 'special' way for so long that we'd both become entirely comfortable with it and didn't even notice anymore.
