Wait One More Season

From Luke 13.

Vss. 6-9: The fig tree gets LOTS of chances. And when everyone else has become impatient and written them off, God still says, "Wait. Wait one more season. See what happens next year." The roots are stretching down into the earth, which only God can see. He is working in people's lives in ways we can't imagine. Who have I written off? Who has written me off? Simple illustration, huge instruction regarding human relationships.

Vss. 22-30: There will come a "last chance." God's holiness demands it. But it is God who determines the time for that. We, His children, are not the givers of last chances. We are to continue to say, "Wait. Wait one more season…"
